Flea Market Dresser

My second project for the living room was the entertainment center (which are completely over-priced, in my opinion). After deciding that I didn't want to buy (can't afford) a new entertainment center, I settled on re-doing some kind of dresser for storage.

Surprisingly, it really didn't take too long to find a good deal with lots of drawers.
I found this dresser at a local flea market for only 50 bucks!

All I did was sand it down, repaint, and distress!

I got the cute knobs at World Market, and the pulls at Target.

It's not a huge transformation, but I like it and it has tons of storage!

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

I've decided to focus my attention to one room at a time in the new house, so I've only gotten to the living room (I'm really slow). I guess if I'm averaging 6 months on each room it'll be 2016 before this place is completely lived-in. Yikes...

My first project for this room was the coffee tables. My mom had all three just sitting around begging to be loved! So they were FREE!!! I don't have any before pictures of the exact tables, but they looked a little something like this

and this.

After a little sanding, painting, distressing. They now look like this! (sorry for the bad quality pictures)

I love them! Let me know what you think!!

bad blogger

I'm really bad at this blogging thing.

But I'm going to be better from now on because...we FINALLY have internet at our house!! Welcome to 1995(because that's when people got internet in houses, right...?).

I've been wanting to put up some more current pictures of the house.

So here's one of the living room from when we first moved in.

And one that I took about a month ago...

I've been working really hard to make it look like people actually live here, and it's finally starting to feel like a home!

Keep checking back for more posts on the house!

Once Upon A Time...

There was a girl named Sarah with an awesome roommate.

And a boy named Tim from a very small town.

They met at the event of the year (my 21st birthday, duh)

Then they had some fun times...

and some silly times...

and then they were engaged, and there were more fun times...

and now they are happily ever after married.

THE END.

I just love a happy ending.
